Simpson College Physics Club

The Simpson College Physics Club is organized as an integral part of the Physics department on campus. Students, both physics and non-physics, are given the opporunity to participate in numerous hands-on physics experiences.

February 2009



      *Students and faculty observed the comet Lulin in the evening sky. The use of the Celestron Telescope made this viewing even more spectacular

      *Students and faculty met and created a prototype "Camera Obscura" The prototype worked, but exhibited needs of improvement. Plans to complete this project are in the works for later       months.

      *Next Meeting is will be scheduled to be the first first or second week after return from winter break. Members should come with ideas and thoughts on what wants to be accomplished in        the upcoming semester!

      *First meeting of the year brought promise for the upcoming semester. Students and faculty discussed the idea of a physics lounge as well as possible ideas for events for the future. Look       for Physics Club events and information on the Simpson College's Stormfront.
